Dalyan Animals - Helping the street animals of Dalyan

I dont want to be negative but home page looks to say "me and Blackie on a boat" trip and it all seems too nice. I think heart wrenching tear jerker stuff might be needed.

Wish it well though

Re: \new Website for Dalyan Animals

Might be worth bearing in mind what Battersea Dogs Home has on its Homepage...eight tear-jerking photos of lovely dogs crying out for new homes - along with other similar pictures asking for donations.

The Dalyan site looks good and its home page photo is a lovely serene scene of happiness - but maybe Battersea chose the more emotional, tugging at the heart strings "Please Take Me Home" approach because it works and helps them rehome almost 9,000 dogs and cats a year.

Re: New Website for Dalyan Animals

The Battersea dog's home site goes the hard sell route. The Dalyan site takes the soft sell route which I believe is the better way.
Personally if I see a hard sell I am put off, all the tv ads for charities using hard sell techniques get me to turn off. When I see an ad that arouses my curiosity I am likely to go do a search to find out more info. This is what the Dalyan animal site does I think, people will look to find out more about Dohakder.

Well done.

Re: New Website for Dalyan Animals

Hi Norman, I didn't take it as a dig and appreciate what you are saying, but I do think we can contribute in a variety of ways. Even though I had my own dogs, I have taken on 2 additional street dogs who would otherwise have been in the Dalyan shelter. Both dogs were deemed to be urgent cases. The charity generously offered to cover the ongoing expenses (injections, worming, neutering) if I would house them, but I've opted to take those costs on myself., and they have become part of my household.
