Cleaner rates in Dalyan?

Can anyone tell me the going rate for a cleaner here in Dalyan please? Just general cleaning and will only be needed for half a day about every 10 days.

Re: Cleaner

In Ortaca, we pay 45tl for half a day once a week. Well worth the money.

Re: Cleaner

Is about the same here..Do you have someone in mind? I am full at present but can put you in touch with someone. How big is your property? Normally price goes on the size and how much cleaning you actually want, ie washing etc email me if you want details of a cleaner [email protected]

You're lucky, here in Cesme it's a minimum of 100TL ,with a lot of ladies asking 140-150TL per day.

Re: Cleaner

i would say 45tl seems less to me..depends how many hrs and whats included yes. Our friends/neighbours are known to pay 80tl a day for a big size flat but this clearly doesnt mean a long day and i dont know the details of whats involved.

Re: Cleaner

As I said depends on the size of the property and how many hours.. Full clean 4 bed villa I charge 90tl, that includes washing sheets & towels. x

That is far too high. 80TL a day is a good rate. They are just taking advantage of gullible foreigners.
I pay 38TL to clean a 260m apartment - two of them come and finish in 2.5 hours. They do it for a living so work quickly and efficiently - I want the job done, not them sitting watching the clock.

260 m apartment??? Thats bigger than most villas!!! Huge in fact, if thats the true size, then its slave labour, thats not even minimum wage for Turkey.. I do it for a living also have my own company, very efficient and quick, but would no way work for 19 tl for 2 and half hours.. Thats awful

Re: Cleaner

You donīt seem to have much of a grasp on contract cleaning. If you "do it for a living" I would expect you to understand that if a business wants to send two people to do a job faster than one person, that is a business decision; I pay them to do a job, how they execute the task is down to them; if they want to send four people to do it in one hour I will not have a problem with that either. It seems they have a better handle on doing it for a living than you do.

In my other life before coming to Turkey, I used to employ contract cleaners. We would price the job on what was required by me, it was then down to them whether they sent four or six staff. I didnīt sit with a clock to make sure they stayed a set time, I was not interested in that, they were only judged on the final result. The boss would often come himself (like my Turkish people) and he would never stop to engage in chit-chat, because he had a deadline on other jobs for the day. He, in fact, taught me how to use contract cleaners efficiently.

My Turkish people drive a new car and have a good lifestyle - and my appointment is the first of many in the day. They set the rate for the job, which was competitive, and I accepted: they understand business and how to run a contract. Most of their work is hotels and servicing villas between lets. They have a business ethic and approach to work which is not common here, as you demonstrate.
