moving to Dalyan

Hi there! I will be moving to Dalyan in September. I am currently searching for a job as a teacher. I have taught preschool in Istanbul for the last three years. I emailed a few recruiters but wanted to know if any of you knew any good recruiters or schools that needed English teachers. I also have experience teaching primary school. I have a bachelor's degree and a TEFL certificate. I'm also open to tutoring or nannying as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to moving there and having a different experience than Istanbul. Thanks!

I presume you have a work permit, having worked in Istanbul for three years? You will find Dalyan very tranquil after the bustle of a city! Good luck!

Re: moving to Dalyan

hi think it would be hard to get anything unless you are in dalyan in person & even then the process of a work permit would take maybe 6m if done though a smaller establishment..at a guess...i think you may find it difficult to find legal work with a permit ,just a hunch despite the fact you have a degree /cert. I think places may offer you work but unpaid/trial basis or you can run the risk of doing private lessons but i would suggest if you will settle here on a permanent basis then i wouldnt annoy locals or authorities with anything illegal. Maybe try Ortaca also for Language colleges but if they get you a work permit i would again be suprised and the wait maybe a long drawn out stressful one..you wont know tilī u try/ask. Also in terms of wages expect much less than previous posts...maybe even shockingly less. Good luck with the hunt & the move though:-)
