2B land in gökbel - title deeds now available

The government scheme for buying title deeds for 2B land in Gökbel has been outlined and the current rate quoted is 150,000TL payment to the government for 1000m/sq of land with the possibility of up to a 50% discount for payment in full and promptly. Those who have 2B land would be well advised to contact independent solicitors to help them with the process.

This may be helpful. Although this link is a couple of years old it details the changes in the law which have now filtered through to the Gokbel area and explains the 2b land issues.

2B law takes effect following President Gül?s approval

My cynical side says this is another step towards the likes of Dalŷan beach being sold .

Cynical politics .

Re: 2B land in gökbel - title deeds now available

Hi alan, the 2b regulations apply all over Turkey and aim to give families legal title to land they may have already lived on for generations. The two provinces most affected are mugla and istanbul. Some say it is designed to win votes for the ruling party, others that it provides new security for the technically landless. You are the first to link it to İztuzu!

Re: 2B land in gökbel - title deeds now available

Its a lot more common than you might think.

We are almost at the end of a court case that has been on the go since 1995 in respect of land classified as 2B, which Fethiye Belidiye sold to our Ko-op, without the relelevant authority.

The sum total that is in dispute is less than 10m2.

It wont win many votes for the AKP, that's a fact. In fact. it wont win votes for anyone given its taken so long to sort out!

Burasi Turkiye...

Hi Faz.
Was my cynical side and I hope I am wrong.

But I don't know the situation like you so thanks for the info
It will be good that local families get into control of land they have worked on .

Do you think more houses will be built up in and near gokbel.
Stunning views of the beach and sea from there .

Alan

Re: 2B land in gökbel - title deeds now available

As well as giving locals the right to own the land which they have lived on through generations it will also give foreigners who bought property there the rights to legally own it as opposed to worrying that they may have it taken off them because technically they dont own it.
One family I know bought a small place in Gokbel many years ago knowing it was not legally theirs but the relatively small price they paid for it they felt was worth the risk in the hope that one day they would have the right to "buy" the land legally. That day has now come and I am sure they and others will be pleased with the result.
