furniture shops around Dalyan?

hi
i am returning to my apartment in Dalyan next month and need to replace the sofabed in time for next summer.

i currently have an old fabric one but as I have changed the decor I need a new one. i was recommended a shop in Ortega but his prices kept going up lol

i also would like to purchases a washing machine - anyone have one for sale? or know how to locate one? it isnt urgent but for next year it would be handy not to travel with suitcases

also anyone know how to find decent decorator? i was ripped off last time n paid more than I did for my uk house to be painted lol

female + english = easy target ha ha ha

Re: furniture shops around Dalyan?

There is one furniture shop in Dalyan and he is quite fair. At least you can look and see if he has anything that suits you.
For a washing machine there is Arcelik and Beko. Both fair, both good service so no real need to go to Ortaca.
As for a decorator, you take chances and as I have a friend who helps me I haven't used one here for years, so can't help with that. No doubt someone will be able to.
Now I will run before Bickern stomps all over this post!

Re: furniture shops around Dalyan?

Hi
Done a lot of this this year in dalyan .
I ended up going to mobilya high rise shop in Ortaca for furniture ,near to bus depot .
I went in April for beds not needing the, till August .
We agreed a price in lira and the lira shifted in my favour and as good as their word he honoured the price and delivered next day .
Now having tried to buy a few smaller items from arcelik and beko I asked for best prices and got what they said was best prices ....again in Ortaca at the arcelik shop near the bus depot and next to turkcell shop they were 150 lira cheaper just walking in the store than dalyan .i bought from beko in fethiye 100 lira cheaper same product for my small apliance.

I also had full paint job done internally this year along with railings done so can give you the number if you pm me to contact for a quote

I forgot to say I bought several large items including sofas from ikea in Izmir .
I have managers email .
I picked items in UK from their stores and emailed him item numbers.
He priced them I paid and he shipped it .
It worked out cheaper than UK by a third even with shipping charged .
Examples was it was 2777 in UK and with bank charges was 1687 plus 310 shipping charges from haulage company .
It was all delivered inside 10 working days to the door and a local godsend lol took delivery for me in my absence .agian if you want email just say

You could try IKEA in Bodrum available on line and delivery would be cheaper than Izmir we bought new tv and video this year I know we are in Turgutreis but we walked up the Main Street and also tried kippa they sell a lot of electrical goods we got a good deal as we played one shop of against the other plus the exchange rate was in our favour
