Villa yildiz renters?

Hi all, does anyone know who is long term renting villa yildiz? This is the villa at the bottom end of the park next to the outdoor gym and in the back row of the block of 4 villas. Thanks

Re: Villa yildiz renters?

I think this villa is now owner occupied by Turkish people from Istanbul.
If this is the one I am thinking of they have made alterations to the roof, have had a wooden sun house built in the garden and a temporary garage squeezed on the front/side.
If this is not the one then I have wasted your time!

Re: Villa yildiz renters?

That is the one although if the wooden summer house is against the wall of the next door villa it has been there a couple of years. I'm asking as we are supposed to be renting this villa in the summer for 3 weeks from oruc (you would think we'd learn) and I noticed that the booking calendar for the full year was blocked out. When we got in touch with him he said he'd let it out to long term renters but preserved our dates and is moving them into a different villa for 3 weeks. Unless the long term renters were aware of this from the beginning I can't see them wanting to move all their belongings, food etc out for 3 weeks. I was hoping it was going to be someone on here so I could ask if they were aware. I can see us turning up in the evening (kids and 96 year old grandma in tow) and him trying to put us somewhere else. Thanks for replying.

I was so sorry to read of the reason for your enquiry. I hope I am wrong but I very much fear your prediction of being moved elsewhere will turn out to be true.
Good luck.

Re: Villa yildiz renters?

Yes Bramidan we were thinking the same so have been in touch with Oruc after looking at other availability with them. We are now going into Villa Begonvil for just over a week (in the field behind and just over to the right) and then the rest of the time in Villa Saray which is diagonally in front of Yildiz. We would rather move half way through and be more sure (although still not 100% confident) of knowing where we are staying than arriving from airport late at night and having problems.

If it was just me, husband and children I would be prepared to take the chance but as mentioned we will have my 96 year old (pretty much wheelchair bound) grandma with us as well as mother-in-law who has walking issues and rest of family (10 in total). Also compounded by the fact our friends are coming out our 2nd and 3rd week and staying in Maras area so we want to be close to them as well... It's not too much of a problem to move and 2 years ago after a similar stunt we were in 3 villas over the 3 weeks. After this year I think we will be using owners direct etc

Thanks for your replies and if you see us out and about 28/7-18/8 please say hello.

Re: Villa yildiz renters?

Stuco, I actually own a villa in Maras and we stay there for the winter and then come home to the UK for the summer when our villa is rented out.
I hope the owners of the villas you are being put in know about it! It has occurred in the past that the actual villa owners have no idea somebody is in their property.
Hope it all goes well and you have a fantastic time in Dalyan.

I think you've got off lightly................you could've been buying the place.

I wish you well for your holiday & hope it all works out for you.

Re: Villa yildiz renters?

Hi Bramidan, yes I have heard that as well. I know of one owner who wasn't being given the booking fee as was unaware it was booked out. He also was prepared to take our deposit last year on Villa Vardiya and it was only when I got in touch with the owners that we found out they had booked it out already through owners direct. Like I say, you'd think we'd learn... Still, next year...

Yes Spurs, definitely got off lightly lol although I sometimes wish when we first started visiting Dalyan many years ago that we had got in before the prices went up.
