how much do you pay for your food?

Reading an advertisement today about a restaurant in turkey charging 17 lira for steak and 10 for chicken.

This would be less than we pay in datca so......... how much do you pay for steak/chicken/lamb wherever you eat in turkey?

Re: how much do you pay for your food?

This seems very cheap !!! you would pay about 23 to 30 tl for a steak and about 15 to 20 tl for chicken in Yalikavak.. so we dont tend to eat out much, but as said on other threads meat has gone up all a cross in Turkey.... veggie is the way forward !!

Re: how much do you pay for your food?

30 TL is the going rate for steak in restaurants along the peninsula, meat is now very expensive here, I am trying to persuade him indoors to go veggie but theres no chance of that! glad only one of us eats meat!!!

Re: how much do you pay for your food?

Had a very enjoyable mixed grill on the seafront in Altinkum last night for 25TL.

Only "complaint" was that there was too much to eat, and I don't have a small appetite.

Location , location !
If its a restaurant next to the sea its more expensive than in a back street cafe. Nearer the sea , more expensive the rental of the premises and they have to make it back some how.

Re: how much do you pay for your food?

Personally, I wouldn't eat at the cheapest places due to the quality of the meat served.

Re: how much do you pay for your food?

About 18.50 TL for steak or lamb chops in Guzelcamli. Chicken a few lira cheaper. Steak is ok but not top quality (wouldn't expect top quality at that price). Very little meat on the lamb chops.
