Is it worth buying in Davutlar

I have been offered an apartment in Davutlar town but my Turkish friends have told me not to buy anything over £15,000 pounds you would be wasting your money the apartment is more than that amount, anybody paying that amount they tell me would be a fool, anyone got any advice?

If you value your friends opinions; if they have local knowledge; if they seem to know what they are talking about; if they are giving you advice in good faith and are trying to protect you, why would anyone's opinion on this forum be any better than theirs?

Local knowledge is always better than uninformed 'expert' views.

Perhaps they can negotiate a better deal for you on the property you want?

It depends if you think the apartment is worth the price. Have a look around estate agents and compare prices.

You would pay a lot more for an apartment in Kusadasi and 15,000, if you can get one for that, sounds like a good deal.

Remember that Davutlar is very quiet in the winter time if you are planning on living here.

??????????????????? he hasnt been offered this at £15k, but for more than that.

Welcome to the forum Chunk.

£15k is not a lot. But as Immac said therir local knowledge and advice might be worth taking. There are probably two prices - one for locals and one for foreigners. If you can buy at the former then you are going to be quids in

Remember its a buyers market and if you dont have to buy then play it cool and haggle hard over the price

oh, and is it the right place to be? its a bit out of the way if its Davutlar town

good luck with it
