Best adhesive

I need to stick a plastic solar light on to a PVC garden divider wall

What my best bet

Have heard very varying results re Gorilla glue, no more nails etc

Re: Best adhesive

There are a number of plastic glues available, what about velcro pads ?

Re: Best adhesive

A PU adhesive would likely do it, but be aware, it foams slightly so weight down your item to prevent lift.
Original Gorilla Glue. ... The water activated polyurethane formula expands into materials to form an incredibly strong bond to virtually anything making Gorilla Glue your solution for almost any project or repair.

Do you mean the heat ? most glues soften with heat, I'm not a great fan of gorrilla glus as it can be messy, if you spill or drip some its a sod to clean up

Re: Best adhesive

As Norman says silicone sealant is good , but you would have to support the light with something until it cures (prop it up with a piece of wood maybe?) BTW I have always found the clear (Transparent ) type to stick better

I always had problems when fitting the transformer for the pool lights . After hanging it on the 2 screws via the keyhole holes, the connections were underneath and hard to get to because of the position of it (pipes in front so you had to crouch down , only to find it didn't then work because the wires needed scraping before connecting )
I extended the cables, putting block connectors on the joints then getting electric boxes and putting the connectors inside then filling them up with silicone which water and weatherproofs them

Then I got 2 pieces of travertine and stuck one to the wall resting it on the floor , then drilled 3 holes in the top of the second piece , stuck that on top of the lower piece and now I can wire it up above ground and just hang it onto the screws (the 3rd hole has a long bent screw in it to hang the loops of excess wire on )

Why not use the glue you use to keep your wallet firmly closed..and it lasts for years and years!

You lean a plank against it and weight from the bottom, PU can stand moisture and heat, often used to fix loose slates, though I havn't used gorilla, I use Evo stick PU
