Faulty Electric Meter

Pay my electric bills standing order through GARANTI BANK
2 weeks in July cost me 438 lira, thinking this must be some mistake.
When we was out there again end of september.checked our meter to find out it was faulty.paid our site manager to get new meter.85 lira.but we had to wait 10 days for it to be fitted In the mean time faulty meter was clocking, away.we was told by our site manager we could not get a refund for the last bill because it had already been payed.but the next bill would only be whats on the new meter.4 days
Rang up my bank on 22nd as i knew the standing order was due to come out on the 26th.they told me 152 lira was to be payed told them to stop it.
Rang up my site manager . He said he would sort it out with Tedas.
Now been told, Got to pay for whats on old meter plus the new meter.
has any one else had this problem with faulty meters and try to get a refund.?

Re: Faulty Electric Meter

Hi Rosey. We had a similar problem but the opposite way. One month our meter read 20 Lira and we both said ' Thats low ' next month 14 Lira and third month 4 Lira. We went to To Tedaş and reported it. 2 months later we had a new meter.6 months later we had a bill for 510 Lira for estimated unpaid Electric. They said if we did not pay it they would cut us off. This is Turkey so we paid it. Not our fault but they said it wasn't theres if the meter fails. Did we argue, No! Where would it get us apart from no electric. Tedaş rule ok !
