iskan water and elec
Hi can anyone help we bought a villa in Avsallar near Alanya off plan on the 22.04.05 it was completed on the 31.03.06 we have never had or paid any water or electric bills, our builder has now asked for 4000 Euro for the iskan and water and electric payments, this seem excessive as we have only used the villa for appox 8 week any advice would be appreciated.
thanks

Electricity and water licence
Hi everyone thanks for the warm welcome, does anyone know how they work out how much you pay for your electricity and water licence (think its called an Iskan) to enable you to pay your own bills, is it worked out on the size of your property or a standard price, if on the size of your property is there anyone in Avsallar area who has paid it recently that could get in touch so we could compare.
Thanks
Jane

Re: Electricity and water licence
hi jane
we bought an apartment in mahmutler and have been told that the water connection is going to be 1500 euro by the builder how did you get on and did you have to pay anything like this ,i think this is excessive and wonder if the locals get charged the same or is it just tourists.
also do you know what cost for electricity connection ,thanks a million

Re: Electricity and water licence
Hi Joan
The problem is still ongoing at the moment with builder telling us one thing and others telling us something else, hoping to sort it within the next couple of weeks, will let you know the outcome.

Re: Electricity and water licence
I would suggest making a visit to the Tedas and the council to ask them! Usually there is someone there who speaks some English.
I cant remember the exact amount but I think I paid around 350ytl for water connection and 450ytl for electric.
Hope this helps.
