Although we are on the temporary complex supply I have been told that a spot check on the meters may result in a fine if there is no correct Anode number in my name. I cant get back out to Turkey to remedy this and I have bookings lined up for August / September. Can anyone advise me if I should cancel the bookings OR should I take the risk of a fine? If I get fine what sort of money will be involved? Will it be a substanial fine or something small??
Any advice welcome.

Hi Darren,
I know you posted this a long time ago but just thought I'd add to it as we were affected by a huge fine back in July of £1750.00. We had been allowed the use of the villa that we were buying but it wasn't in our name at the time as the TAPU hadn't come through. No one, not even the solicitor, warned us that we would be fined and disconnected, apparently our fine was illegal and we have never got to the bottom of it and feel very angry that it happened.
Did anyone give you an answer?
