Electricity

Can anyone give me some advise? The villa that we currently have had the electricity in the previous owners name.
He has been down to the offices today in Altinkum and changed that and they have cut off the electricity and told him i have to get it connected in my name.
I asked the agents that i deal with if they can assist but they say i have to do it in person!!
Not that i mind but i was only over last week and will have to go over again asap as we have a friend of a friend staying in it mid July so it has to be sorted..
Advise greatly recieved on a postcard[:X]

Sharron

This is fairly standard practise however, a little help from your Agent would have sorted this before the electric had been cut.

You will have to go to the electric company (Tedas I think), take your house deeds with you, your passport and/or residence permit. Expect to pay around 40 pounds for the reconnect and setup and another 40-50 pounds deposit...

Sharron, you will have many problems trying to get reconnected without your deeds. Afterall, you could be anyone in their eyes?

100 sterling is far too much to be paying for a reconnection. That should also include the deposit (if necessary). Take this up with your agent asap. Also, any good Agent should be able to work round the house deed aspect for reconnection.
