Re: Aydem Electric

Thanks to the information in this thread I have been able to access my account from UK, I have just returned from Uzumlu whilst over there a Turkish friend phoned Aydem to ask about my account they told him they are in the process of issuing new account numbers, they very kindly gave him my new number.

Re: Aydem Electric

Also, bear in mind that Aydem, unlike Tedas, appear to be operating a zero tolerance regime, regarding unpaid bills. A couple of friends of mine have arrived at their homes. to discover that their electric had been cut off.

That is a very valid point. I know someone who was nearly cut off last month.

Today I found our latest bill. It's a new style one from Aydem. The meter was read on the 17/6. Payment must be by 26/5, that's just 9 days.

Last month our meter was read on 9/5 and the payment dates were between 15/5 and 26/5.

As mentioned previously Aydem now use a Tesisat number, instead of an Abone number. Our new number is 660 plus the last four digits of our old number. It is the same for other family members on our street but don't know if this will be a general rule.

Checked the Aydem website but they are still setting it up and veiwing on-line bills is not yet an option, but it will come (Inşallah!)

Re: Aydem Electric

Thank you for all your information here Dalaman Deli, I agree Aydem are much faster in cutting you off, but the monthly billing seems to have become a bit more erratic in Bodrum- anyone dis/agree?

Re: Aydem Electric

Hi there

I have logged on to this website, but the only problem I am having is finding the Vergi No, please advise where can I get it from, as it doesn't seem to be showing on my old bills.
Cheers and much appreciated.

Re: Aydem Electric

The Vergi No. is your Tax Number that you should have from the Maliye if you've got a Turkish bank account.

I phoned the Aydem office in Bodrum today from UK (0090 252 3173 000).
They put me through to someone who spoke English who wanted the old Tedas 'Isletme Kodu' and the 'Abone' numbers. They then gave me the new Aydem Tesisat number, which allowed me to pay my bill via Garanti bank online.

The Tesisat number was 63 plus the five numbers from my old Abone (without the zeroes at the beginning and end).

I don't know if '63' holds good for all of the Bodrum area.

The Tesisat has to be an eight digit number so add zeroes to the front to make up the digits if necessary.

My meter was read on the 24th August, they left bill and I took straight to their offices to pay the bill before we were due to fly home that same day. Even though I told them I was going home that day and would not be able to pay it until next year.
They refused to accept my money!!!!!! Can you believe it? That wouldn't happen here in the UK.

The electricity company wouldn't accept my money for another 3 weeks until the 14th September, if I couldnt pay it they said I would have to get someone else to go and pay it for me after that date!

It's a funny old world aint it?

Re: Aydem Electric

Hi

we still have not had a bill (up till 24th August when we came home) so went with our readings.. the company would not let me pay despite me telling them I was going home. I agree that this is a very peculiar set up, seemingly designed (it appears to me)to get financial penalties incurred by holiday home persons.
