water & electricity connection charges
when i next go over to altinkum in august, i have been told by the estate agent that i need to pay £600 - this is costs for the transfer of the title deed enabling the tapu to be in my name and also £300 for the water and electric connection. reading between the lines, is £300 for the connection of the 2 utility bills into my name on a new build a bit high?

Re: water & electricity connection charges
I think there is a difference between transferring an existing and arranging a new connection

Re: water & electricity connection charges
Emma check the Buying cost thread out, ıt shouldnt cost you more than 100 GBP for both water and electric including the deposits you have to put on them Ask the agent for reciepts for the connections and you should find you arent paying this much.

Re: water & electricity connection charges
We paid 90ytl deposit for water meter 1 , 30ytl deposit for water meter 2 (garden) 30 ytl deposit for electricity and 10ytl to have the paperwork transferred to our name. All these costs were on an existing connection so it looks like it only cost 10ytl for the paperwork and the rest deposit for future consumption.

Re: water & electricity connection charges
Ours is a new build, and we paid approx. 45 Euros to Tedas back in May of this year for our connetion. We did'nt have to pay for water as complex has it's own supply
