Hi All

Does anyone know the current price of parking for a short while at the Airport while I wait for a relative who will be joining us on hols, just in case I get moved on.

Would it also be possible to park up on the road just before the terminal and wait there?

Thanks

Any advise would be greatly received.

I have a complaint with TC and sent them an e-mail at the end of July. They promptly replied with a standard acknowledgement-28 days to reply etc. Then 6 days later, another acknowledgement.

The 28 days passed. I e-mailed a quick note to say their time was up, to which I received, what looked like your average automated reply-again stating 28 days to reply.

A few more days passed and I sat down with a more detailed e-mail explaining the 28 days had more than passed and I still had to reply. The reply to that was that the address was no longer in use and that the contents had not been sent to TC and I should go back to the TC site and re submit my complaint. I did that. What do I get-we have 28 days to reply. Going round in circles is making me more mad with them.

Does anyone have a more specific contact address, ie-a human being maybe, who actually reads the complaints or are they all dealt with by a machine who just loves doing nothing within 28 days?

Regards
Angie.

I seem to remember reading a while back that non-residents can no longer own cars here.

I've done a search but can't find the thread so could some clever person update me.

I have friends who come here on a tourist visa for a couple of months twice a year.
They own a car and a motorbike.

What will happen now?
They've just paid the car tax and nothing was said.
Will their problems start when they come to renew the insurance?

Or is their insurance invalid now because they don't have a residence permit?

Hello all. İ am looking for a definiitive answer rather than hearsay re the following issue. İ entered Turkey in early July with my car and my passport states it can remain in Turkey until 4th January 2011. However İ am going to Greece for 2 weeks in September with the intention of re entering Turkey at end of September with the same vehicle.

İ have entered Turkey with the same car now on 3 separate occasions over the past 2 years BUT NOT FOR THE FİRST TİME İ am getting advised by UK drivers that the same car is not allowed back in gto Turkey after the initial period of 6 months.

İ have attempted to get advice from The Turkish Embassy but they are less than helpful and will not provide an answer by email!

Has anyone got the definitive position re this issue from actual previous experience. Many thanks

hi a friend told me best way to get a cheap flight is to just turn up at airport a few hours before flights leave and ask if there are any empty seats

i am looking to come in and out of bodrum quite often and most of time travelling alone so single flight one way is fine and does not matter if i am sitting in airport waiting

or is it best to just book a one way flight in advance

thanks hope someone can advise

*Turkey Choice Boosted to Meet Demand*

Turkey has becoming increasingly popular over the last couple of years, particularly because it is a non-euro destination.
Now a Turkey specialist company Holidays 4U has increased its range of holidays for Summer 2011 from Belfast.
The company is offering Summer 2011 packages to Dalaman, with weekly flights available every Tuesday from May 3 to October 25, 2011 as well as a weekly Bodrum flight departing on Tuesdays from May 24 until August 2.
Joe Lavers, Sales & Marketing Director at Holidays 4U says: "There is a great market in Northern Ireland for Turkey holidays and as an independent operator we can offer a great choice of good value for money holidays in all the large, popular resorts as well as smaller, less commercialised areas.
"There is also a good base of independent travel agents in Northern Ireland that customers can book our holidays and flights with as well as on our website."

hi
i was reading this article today i dont really understand it and it makes me think

OPPORTUNITIES FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS TO OWN TAX FREE CARS IN TURKEY Land of Lights – Local English Newspaper – Fethiye (http://www.landoflights.net/business-finance/opportunities-for-foreign-nationals-to-own-tax-free-cars-in-turkey-4650.html)

when i bought my car a couple of years ago it was not tax free

i think all the fuss they make about a turkish person driving your car really should apply if you have bought it tax free as then yes they can say a turkish person cant drive it as they would be benifitting from the tax free and maybe it had been bought for them but when you have bought your car as any other turkish person has there should be no restrictions on it
i think they get muddled up in their own rules and nobody knows what is what
i am happy for my turkish partner (who has never asked me for anything) to drive my car and sometimes i need him to drive it,having 2 cars in one house is a waste when there is only the 2 of us
can anyone else explain this article a bit better for me
thanks xx

im obviously going to get my toiletries in the departure lounge , does anyone know what time the shops open at gatwick , my flight is 0745hrs so will hope to be in the lounge around 6am.

Also, do you think it will be acceptable to take my husbands safety razor in my hand luggage or should i buy him a new razor from the shops.

sorry about all the questions , never flown without a huge suitcase in tow before, but im so looking forward to not having to do the "hunt the suitcase " game. at the carassal
