Hisaronu Restaurant?
My Nephew and his partner are staying in a rented villa in Hisaronu next week,(probably from one of you people). Anyway I have seen him 4 times since he was born, and he is 22 now! so My wife and I are driving over to take them out for a meal at the latter end of the week.
Now then, having briefly driven through the place work related I have not taken any account of Eateries, but did notice loads of Mabels cafe & Bills bar type of stuff which I want to avoid, so, the criterior is this:-
A very pleasant setting, maybe hilltop or something with a panoramic view from the windows.
Definitely Turkish owned and authentic Turkish cooking.
Nicely set tables.
No fluffy waiters, hiding the fact that the food is below standard and over-priced.
Possibly somewhere a little exclusive, (remember I've only seen him 4 times in 22 years, and never met his partner.)
If it reqs. a short car drive, no problems.
Does such a place exist in the area, and if so I would really appreciate any tips you may be able to pass, as you know how hard it is when you have to go wandering the streets looking before you can eat.
The meal will be evening, and would prefer somewhere where customers have not just come off the beach, and dressed inappropriately.
I know this will entertain many of you, and will attract the usual comments, but it is important to me that my treat turns out to be a treat and not a nightmare! Many thanks.

Re: Hisaronu Restaurant?
From our criteria I would probably recommend a restaurant in Kaya, I have heard good reports about Levissi although I have not eaten there myself. It is definately more upmarket, turkish owned and has a stunning setting overlooking the ghost village. They used to do pick ups and transfers so that might be worth exploring?
Another stunning location is Sundail in Tasyaka - which has stunning views over the whole of Fethiye - they play classical music to the sunset - which is very special but I have heard that the food is only OK? www.sundialotel.com
The other place I have heard about recently is Kizilada Island restaurant which is the latest venture from the owners of the White Dolphin, a brand new restaurant on the private island of Kizilada.
Mehmet the owner ill pick you up from the jetty near the Saat restaurant in Calis in a gleaming white speed boat was waiting. The journey takes about fifteen minutes and passes to the right hand side of Sovalye. On arrival rather than climb the immaculately paved pathway to the top of the island and light house, they have built a mini funicular railway.
From the photos I have seen the restaurant setting is simply spectacular, it has been laid out on multi levels so nearly every table has an almost private feel while enjoying its own panoramic view. The lay out is all open air and divided in two distinct halves, one half enjoys morning sun and the other is designed for afternoon and sunset. Every detail has been thought of here, there is a bank of solar panels to provide water and power a desalination plant, a wind turbine providing electricity and even a waste water purification system to guarantee that the restaurant does not pollute the crystal clear surrounding water.
I have a review from someone that has been recently that includes photos so I will send you a message with the details.
Hope these recomendations help

Lindy, Thank you so much, that Kizilada island restaurant sounds absolutely fantastic! I would be very keen to know more about it, and also the others you have mentioned, but to kick off with a boat ride sounds great. Many thanks.

Posiedon in Kaya is also very good and not as expensive as the Levissi Garden which, personally, I think is very over-rated.

Re: Hisaronu Restaurant?
Well thank you all for the input and the PMs. After much deliberation, I have made a decision. The Kizilada it is for my wifes birthday, but the winner for this weeks treat is the Sarniç. Had an opportunity to look there yesterday, and it goes against everything I asked for in criterior. I thought I had entered a donkey shed! right in the middle of the ruins, and major structural cracks in the exterior of the restaurant, but my experience is of these types of places that the food is excellent. Thank you all once again, and the kizilada is reserved for August.

Re: Hisaronu Restaurant?
Last night we ate at a new restaurant in Kaya, it seems to be called The Sardunya and is within the boundaries of the Karmylassos [?] restaurant/club.
The food was superb and the managers are fantastic, especially the young ladies amongst whom is the most delightful girl in the world.
[Unfortunately, at the time of writing the wine was poor but they assured us that they would soon improve the stock.] We had great live music but that may not happen every night.
