If you know Hisaronu, then you drive to the ghost village at Kaya, you get to Gemiler bay if you carry on past Kaya.

Gemiler Beach is well worth a visit, but not to eat! Go to the beach and then drive back up towards Kaya. All of the restaurants at the top of hill in Kinali are worth trying or you can carry on back into Kaya.

Avoid Muzzy's Place in Kaya, as he's another rip-off merchant.

I only had two slices and you can't cut a "small" piece it was more like a door stop! But v.nice. I had a salad to offset the calories the boys went v.turkish and had hamburgers and chips.

Heres the bill:-

1 x boiled egg salad
2 x Hamburger and Chips (and it was smaller than a qtr pounder)!!
1 x EFES 30cl
1 x large coke
1 x small coke

and the bill was 63 YTL (£25),

obviously we didn't leave a tip.

Muzzy's is in a prime spot and dead oppsite the ghost village, looks ok from the road and has "free parking" sign outside to entice you.

ps the boys said the burgers tasted like .....!

Dipps.

He's got a couple of little tricks that he uses.

When folks get of the dolmus outside his place, which is not an official stop,(he pays the dolmus drivers to stop there), he gives everyone a free bottle of water. These are used bottles that have been collected from the bins and filled from the tap. The seals are broken.

He then tells everyone that there is nothing in the village to see past his place. This is despite the fact that just around the corner from him is the Istanbul Restaurant with it's brand new, free to use, pool, another entrance to the ghost village, 3 mini markets, the village mosque which is open to visitors most days, the tea-garden and several more small restaurants and bars, and the centre of the village as it is today. Those of you that have been to Gemiler Beach will have been through Kaya Koyu and will know how widespread and interesting the village is after the ghost village part.
