A Happy Ending

My welsh friends have recently told me that they have now sold their villa in Callis and are heading back to Swansea in Wales a s a p

they intend
to stay with their son whilst they look for another property in their home town. Hopefully they say, they will return to Callis area, in the future, but only as a holiday... and not to live their choice, good luck to them

Before they moved to Turkey did they try to sample life out there first before the big move? Although I love Altinkum I can't honestly see myself living there even when I retire, I'm happy to escape there when I can. I lived in New York for a number of years and although I loved it....Ireland is where I'll always live.

the happy ending is related to the thread below.

It is a shame when this happens, I think that they really did not think this through and research as much as possible, this probably would have been the same if they had gone to any other country, a holiday is one thing permanent living in Turkey is a total change of life style not suited to everyone. We have been very lucky and have more Turkish friends than British, and due to recent events they have been an absolute blessing to us.

Dave I am glad they have managed to find a solution to their problem, also glad you got a friendlier response here than elsewhere!
