Getting to Cappodocia by coach from Fethiye

Posted - 15 Feb 2009 : 11:09:04
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are going to be staying for 4 nights in a hotel in Goreme (Cappadocia) in early June this year, but we need advice on which is the best / economical way to get there by coach from Fethiye ?
Is there a coach trip to the area from Fethiye ? or do we have to get to Antalya first, then a coach to Cappadocia ? Also does the coach actually go direct to Goreme ? and will we need warmer clothes even though its early June ?
Any answers to those questions folks would be gratefully appreciated :-)

Hi DaveH

Looks like you will have to go via Antalya. This link gives some details of transport from Antalya.

Travel from Antalya to Cappadocia, Turkey

Hope that this helps.

A few years ago, we came back from Goreme by bus to Bodrum, in early May. They sold us one ticket direct, but we were put on a midibus connection to Nevsehir and then onto the main bus- a very comfortable ride straight through. A daily service. I think you will find the same from Fethiye. A daily service to Nevsehir or ask for Goreme. Look up Pamukkale or bus services on internet the Turkey travel planner was good. There is always a way!
Enjoy
