This is a great bonus to the regions, wonder if it is going to be a part time post, and what sort of a service they are to give.

Re: Consulate Plans New Offices for Fethiye....

In this week's Land of Lights (free paper): Mustafa Şıkman has become the Honorary Consul for Britain based in Fethiye.
His office will be in Ataturk Boulevard and will open at end of September.

Re: Fethiye Consulate... Details Now Confirmed....

From the same source:
They will undertake renewal of passports; formalities for misplaced passports; registration of births and deaths; travel documents; "marriage registrations in England and following up on public services for British nationals resident in Fethiye as well as British tourists coming to the area between Fethiye and Kaş"

I was not sure what the last bit meant so I've quoted the whole thing.

You just assumed that I needed the exercise, didn't you? It is, in fact, pretty much opposite the council tea garden, with its entrance near Lacoste. I did see a big fish in the harbour though, which I wouldn't have if I hadn't gone to the back of the PTT!
