Fethiye Taxes for Real Estate that are due to be declared in March 2006


This is taken from Fethiye's Land of lights, it is the agreed taxes on properties for next year, now before you all jump on me and say "how much"!!! i hope other members can correct me if I am wrong, but the annual tax would be 0.5% of the declared value of the compared rates below.

If there is a member who has the correct explanation I for one would be grateful.


Fethiye Municipality has established current rates for Real Estate Taxes that are due to be declared in March 2006
The Fethiye Municipality established the minimal rates covering the general declaration of Real Estate Tax for 2006 which is forwarded to the Ministry for approval. The values established by the commission formed by the members of the Municipal Council were displayed for the required period and no objections were raised.
Below are the current land values where the minimum declarations can be made.
Every 4 years home owners need to declare the value of their property, building and land. They then pay property tax, twice a year based on the original evaluation. The base amount increases every year along with inflation.
In March next year every home owner will need to fill out the required forms to declare the values of their property.
More information will follow in the upcoming issues.
