Buying Cars

Has anybody any ideas on the prices of second hand cars in Turkey, Fethiye area in particular. I would be interested in say a 3 year old Focus or similar. Same with insurance.

Take out a mortgage!!!...lol
we purchased a 4year old Fiat palio weekend ...wait for it 13.500 milyar....approx at the time £5,500 ouch!!!
took days to purchase running all over the place registering this and registering that...never again!!!!
for another £5k we could have purchased new and they would have done the runnning around...the stupid thing is second hand cars hold there value here, they go up in price!!!
You can pick up a brand new ford Fiesta for £9k approx, I now wish i had done a bit more investigating prior, but we live and learn...
We have a great mechanic who does not over charge (we pay the same as a Turkish person) he has our custom every time.
If you are going to purchase a car be prepared to have the patience of a saint..

steve, you can take your own car over......as long as you take it back out after 6 months and dont bring it in again for 6 months.
There is a way to register it here but you have to be on a special visa to do so and a standard residence visa wont do. Not forgetting the huge security bond you have to pay if you did qualify to keep your car here for longer then 6 months. I paid 3,000 euros for my 96 fiat Brava.
Best advice...DON'T even consider bringing your car here.
Buy a brand new one.
