my friend lives in fethiye and is looking for places to learn turkish

Hi Kelebek, if you contact FETAV in Fethiye (their office is next to the big sarcophogi just past the PTT office) they arrange courses. We went to the beginners course of 2 lessons a week for 8 weeks in October and it was really good. Neshe, the teacher, was excellent. If you require more advanced lessons they arranged these at the Cultural Centre (the big blue building near the Kemal Otel on the harbour front) and these run for 3 lessons a week for 8 weeks. They also arrange conversational Turkish classes. You can find FETAV details and telephone numbers in Land of Lights.

You should try the language school that is near the Oludeniz roundabout in the same building as Final Dershane on the Antalya road just a few yards past Gempa supermarket on the right.
They advertise in Land of Lights (usually inside front page). If you explain what you want they will either fit you into a class of similar level or, if you want, will give individual tuition. The course they run (that I did two years ago at basic level) covers grammatical structure in detail and will move you through at a good pace.
It was so good that I can't remember the name of the school but the phone number is 0252 614 7187. If I find the business card I will add the name!
They also do certificated courses.
