Question Help

Hi ,
I haven't contributed to the Forum for nearly 12 twelve months, simply because I couldn't make it to Fethiye last year.
Having "done" Las Vegas/West coast of US, in April and Singapore a couple of weeks ago, I am still convinced that you have to go a long way to beat Fethiye for an enjoyable holiday.
Accordingly a dear friend(0n herfirst visit)and my self are due in Fethiye on 14 June for 10 days. Thanks to Cengiz Bey the owner of Hotel Fethiye having demolished it, replacing it with apartments, one of which I won't buy, I hope to stay with Yvonne Yeleken(of Kelebek Apartments fame).
If there's any member of the Forum in Fethiye, during that period, we shall be gald to meet up for a coffee/meal.
I still have several million old TKL left over from my last visit in 2004.Is it possible to change them in a bank or are they only fit for the shredder.
Jag
ps I see little has changed on the Forum with MTC still going strong; more power to her ....err....elbow.

Hi Jag it's so nice to have you back. You have been busy travelling around and um, who is the new dear friend? That's sounds like good news You are going back out to Fethiye on my wedding anniversary, I bet you can't wait to get back there and only 2 weeks more to wait.

I don't know if the banks will change that old money but I guess it's worth a try.

Good to have you back again xx

Welcome back Jag
It is really good to see you on here at long last. I was only talking about you the other day, but who too I can't remember Some of the old bunch from that 'Other' forum are still around and lots of new ones. As I now live here (20 mins from Fetters) I would be delighted to meet up with you. Just name your time and place. One of the banks will change your money (if you have not shredded it already!) and I think there is a link on this forum somewhere....Thanks for the compliment and see you soon.

Re: Help

Hi Gail,
Thanks for the welcome.Having lost my wife(due to lung cancer) after 45 years of marriage, three years down the line, life was getting a bit lonely, and that's how I met my"dear friend" Jean, 9 months ago on an Internet site.We get along fine. She accompanied me on the two previous hoildays and after Fethiye we are going to Lake Maggiore in Italy in September, and perhaps some where else in between.I am off to spend the weekend with her in Biggin Hill, Kent, tomorrow, and hope to take in the Air Show. Then it will be time to get ready to come to Fethiye, to which we are both looking forward.

Re: Help

Hi Jag and welcome back to the forum,

Sorry to hear that all your other holidays have been getting in the way of returning to Fethiye you will be glad to know that Kelbek are still standing (at the moment) the apartments where Hotel Fethiye used to sit are very nice but boy are they expensive! but beautifully finished. It is a shame as Hotel Fethiye was a lovely hotel quite and peaceful with lovely grounds, but I suppose that is progress (if you can call is that).

Enjoy exploring the new forum layout, and again welcome back, you little globe trotter!!
