Re: Roads/airports
Hi Terry & Susan,
Gocek Tunnel delayed opening approx. October due to encountering "SOFT BED-ROCK?".
Dalaman new terminal also delayed but not sure of new date.

A spoksman for the company given the contract for the Gocek tunnel that they were very sorry for the delay but they are stuck between a rock and hard place.

Re: Roads/airports
It appears that the new terminal at Dalaman airport will not be ready until Sept.

Re: Roads/airports
I don't know why you're all getting so excited about the tunnel. You know that there's going to be a heck of a crash when the first vehicles encounter the chicane in the middle of the tunnel. This has been caused by them starting at both ends and not meeting up properly in the middle.
Within hours all the traffic will be using the hill again and we'll all be back to being Wacky Racers!

Re: Roads/airports
We never liked going through the Sevenoaks Tunnel by train in Kent.
Its very long and narrow as well as downhill and you belt out the other end at a hell of a rate haha with the train swaying from side to side.
Where the Gocek Tunnel doesnt meet in the middle you could have a cafe and pit stop for the racers.
