Of course not everything in the garden is rosy...and surprisingly enough it isnt 100% rosy anywhere in the world - not even Bulgaria or TRNC.
For every story about how wonderful those places are there are others of people hating them, others desperate to move on and others not wanting to touch them with the proverbial barge pole - thats called life and you cannot please everybody all of the time. Grass is Greener Syndrome springs to mind.
However on a personal note we have a great life here in Turkey - not a touristy, holiday life - a normal life enjoying the sun, the village atmosphere and the Turkish neighbours, the food and everything else we came for - enjoying life to the full and all that every day brings.
I personally do not believe the Turkish Government has a "We dont want foreigners here" policy, neither do I believe that changes in bureaucracy are part of a master plan to get us out. I hate to say it, but I do think sometimes some of us have an over-inflated view of the importance of expats in any country.
I can understand and appreciate different people having different reasons for moving on but it always makes me smile when cheap booze is cited by many as a key factor in their decision making. Thankfully gin at a quid a bottle has never been key in my barometer of happiness. However the exchange rates of over 4TL to £ has meant a great increase in our disposable income although just as cheap booze wouldnt attract me to leave, a high exchange rate wouldnt make me stay if I wanted to venture into pastures new.
Whilst accepting totally many peoples frustrations at the new RP process I also believe when it is in place it will be easier and more straight forward. My beliefs have been described by some on here as naive - we shall see. But it certainly wouldnt spur me on to quitting the country for somewhere else.
I many ways I firmly believe that we live in our own heads no matter where the geography happens to be and for us we have another bonus - contentment. Being happy with what we have.
To the ones moving on I wish you all the best but for the record there are many of us here who wouldnt want to leave, are very happy and enjoying what we came here for.
Great post - well said.

Who knows what will happen after the forthcoming elections.
We are now free to visit other areas of that beautiful country.
Itís just a shame about their politicians.
Like you Sha we aren't considering selling because of problems with Turks, or Turkey as a whole. It is the health of Ann it is too late now in life to consider moving there full time ( our intention when we bought, circumstances proved otherwise ) and cost of insurance due to age and Ann's health problems is getting prohibitive. I still get a buzz every time I arrive in Turkey, and love the way of life, but I am not an individual , in respect of I am one part of a pair, and that sadly has to be the deciding factor on our Turkish experience.

I just wish I had the [email protected] to upstick and try it!
Good luck to all of you that have taken the step and moved, but for the time being, I'm happy to be a holiday home owner...
Roll on September!
