Skywalk Cable Car Fethiye

I went up to the top of BabaDağ mountain yesterday to see how the cable car is progressing: well advanced is the answer.

Skywalk is the brand.

The adverts say it is a cable car, but on the cables they are single chairs rather than cable cars. That might be the next stage. It is all very impressive. I have not been up there for at least 6 years, so the transformation is spectacular.

From the end of the lift from Olu Deniz, there is a further lift up to the higher launch site for the para gliders.

The new cafe and viewing areas are very nice with pool and waterfalls as a feature. Lots of landscaping being done. It will be a really nice place to spend a few hours.

I was trying to work out where the start point in Olu Deniz might be: anyone know?

The Web site shows some actual pictures and some CG pics.

Re: Skywalk Cable Car Fethiye

I was asked about comparative UK mountains:
Ben Nevis: 1345m
Snowden: 1085m

And the others

Everest: 8848m
BabaDağ: 1969m

Ian

ps which means that if I can drive to the top of BabaDağ in ten minutes, I could drive up Everest in 40: what is all the fuss about Everest?
