Re: Lurefishing in Fethiye

aaahhh now then, that sounds interesting. I used to fish the Essex coast for Codling and whiting(you know the usual suspects) using fresh dug lugworm bait. Since moving here I have sometimes fancied having a cast out from my local beach but do not know what sort of rig to use and who the likliest species will be on the end of the hook, any ideas?

if you dig to the sand in Davutlar Beach area about 15-20 cm.(must be wet part)You will find some kind of worm lighting red&dark red on the sunlight .That's will be the best choice try it please.Don't forget The worms have to be in a pieces of wet mug.

Hi Ken..
I catched Needlefish,Leerfish,Grouper,Amberjack,Dolphinfish, Large eyed Dentex,Bluespotted sea bream,Barracuda etc.by trolling different lures
You can try some kind of lures in Altinkum must be 12-15 cm. red head white
body, blue head green body with 4-6 knots early times in the morning in the bays
& around islands You can catch all species except Dolphinfish and Barracuda
Cheers

Re: Lurefishing in Fethiye

Hi Shark, we have a place in Dalyan and I go fishing with my friend who has his own boat. Mostly we catch small barracuda on lures but I did hook up on a Sea Bass inside the beach which we estimated at 3-4kg. We normally go in the evening.

Would be interested in finding out what other sorts of fishing you can do in the area. I have heard there are large catfish and Carp in lake koycegiz but not been able to confirm this.
