I will post any adverts from the paper ok - do you want ads from the marina - these dont include a trailer (generally local fishing boats for sale)

You will probably pay more for a decent engine than you will for the boat..but overall you will be talking hundreds for a used boat...it's just finding the right one..don't forget tho Mushtaq..you will probably be able to get it removed from the water quite easily and it won't need to be stored inside...locals just turn them over for the winter...also, if you needed a two wheel trailer, I'm sure that wouldn't cost much over there ...Alan.

Marina fees are much less than the UK. You can keep a 72' at a good marina for less than what it will cost you on the South Coast (UK) at a cruddy marina where your boat dries out at every low tide.
Find a marina where they will take the boat out in the winter and keep it on site will mean you dont have to have a car to trail it.

My other half has a small boat complete with Trailer for Sale, Any one who is interested let me know and will e-mail you details.
You do need to have a International Certificate of Competence issued by the Royal Yacht Club to use a boat in Turkish waters other wise you could be in deep trouble!!

What is involved in gaining an ICC from the RYC?
I have no boating experience apart from a couple of weeks cruising on the Norfolk Broads, and after some of the...ahem...incidents on those holidays[:I]I expect the RYC would ask me never to darken their waters again!!

The RYC certificate is an exam course if you need to do it...or should I say it used to be...it's the same cert you need to sail thro France to the Med..

we were looking at a small boat for Gordon to go out fishing, nothing to large and a small engine, boat builder in Fethiye (do have premises in other regions) it was 8-10 polyester ropes steel bar things (you guessed not my subject) jackets, oars (i suppose just incase) trailer anchor, in other words ready to go £1300.
Not bad, but as Gordon is not a swimmer, I was not happy him going alone (he has got a scuba licence...don't ask!) He was told that if the engine was over a 9hp you would need a speacial licence but easily obtained.

Thats interesting but surely cant be right ? early this year in OluDeniz i rented a speedboat for a couple of days and that had like a big evinrude 30 on the back and very fast.
Surely thats more than 9hp ? and they just give me some lifejackets and away i sped

As when i buy my villa i want a nice small cabin cruiser type of boat would like this clarified if anyone knows more ?
