Small Boats

I would like to have a small boat with an engine (too lazy to row, and cant work the sails )

What are the ins and outs of owning a boat in the Akbuk/Altinkum area?

Anyone got any ideas?

Good question Mushtaq.
Does anyone know what costs are involved i.e - Renting or buying a mooring;licence fees etc.

I've heard that the mooring fee in Akbuk Harbour is about £400 - not sure if this is annual payment or one-off.

Have looked into buying small boat, heard lots of people saying yeah, we can do but no firm prices or boats to see yet!!!

Our new villa overlooks Akbuk Harbour so that is why I am looking so any news would be greatly received for where/how much a boat is.

My other half has a small boat complete with Trailer for Sale, Any one who is interested let me know and will e-mail you details.
You do need to have a International Certificate of Competence issued by the Royal Yacht Club to use a boat in Turkish waters other wise you could be in deep trouble!!

The daily newspaper Yeni Asir has classified adverts and if you cant find something suitable there there are lots for sale around the harbour in Kusadasi.

Really no problem and marina costs for anything less than a Sunseeker Squadron (like mine ) are about 16YTL monthly for a mooring. Slipping off a trailer is no money.

The trailer boat is a good solution as you can fit a fair sized boat on one...Alan.

It's the same problem without a trailer as you don't leave small boats in the water thru winter...
