If i lived near FETHIYE i would deffinately give you a try Shark.
Lure fishing is right up my street and would love to give it a go in Turkey.
Unfortunately my apt is in Alanya a few 100 miles East.

Re: Fishing In Oludeniz & Gemiler Bay

Hi Shark, I am a keen sea angler from Scotland and holidaying in your area between 23rd July and 4th August. Will be doing a lot of fishing from the shore but fancy a couple of boat trips also. Would like some info on cost of boat trips and also how many you can get on your boat.
I prefer bottom fishing with bait but will be up for some trolling as well if that produces the better fish.

Any info on the local shore fishing would be much appreciated as well and I'll bring the tackle I'm likely to need. I've heard mullet, garfish, scad & bream are the most common shore species so I guess light lines & small hooks are required.

What about bait for shore fishing. Is it possible to dig worms, find hermit crabs and shrimps etc. Is there a particular type of bread I should use for mullet.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks Gordon
