Have you any information on fly fishing in the greater Fethiye area at all?

We have two detached villas. One in Calis and one in Uzumlu though I only get to visit Turkey perhaps once or twice in a year.

I've found a place pronounced Oran or Uran but it's probably not spelt this way! It is about 30 minutes drive from Uzumlu.

It is a mountain region that is fed by a fast flowing river. As you drive down the winding main road there are many small trout rearing small holdings and one large trout farm with a restaurant where you can eat the trout while sitting by the river.

I have asked if the trout escape into the river and if it's worth fishing it but I can't make myself understood as my Turkish is awful.

I took a photo one year and later noticed that a man was standing waist deep with possibly a fly rod in his hand way off into the distance.
I can't believe that such beautiful rivers and streams don't support trout.
Any information on the greater Fethiye area would be greatfully received.


If you think it's worth bringing my rods then would you please let me know?
