Fishing in camyuva (kemer) turkish riviera

I am staying at the pasha princess in june and was going to take a small amount of gear with me..
Can someone suggest a couple of places nearby and a suggestion of tactics/species etc.
All help gratefully received.

Many Thanks

Your best bet for the bigger fish is to get a boat out into the Med.
No idea of Prices but they would supply most of the gear you need.

Or is it Freshwater Fishing you mean ?

And seeing this is your first post Welcome to the TLF.

Hairy - I don't know the area, but you will need a licence for sea or river - 150TL. Fines are heavy for no licence and confiscation of equipment. If you go on organised sea trip the captain is supposed to have a licence to cover you.

Immac - I was told by others on the forum that you dont need a licence for pleasure fishing, are they wrong/misinformed.

They are certainly wrong - it specifically applies to pleasure fishing of any type, including rivers, lakes, shore and sea.

yes you do need a licence - yl150 for a foreigner - FREE if you are Turkish

Regs in English at http://www.kkgm.gov.tr/regulation/not/2007-44.html

Wonder what the reaction would be if the UK Min of Ag quoted one licence fee for foreigners but free for Brits??

I think I remember it around 5TL for Turks when the law was introduced, but on the site that Angelabe posted it looks to be free.
Incidentally, that site has a lot of very useful information that I have not seen before.
