fishing

hello everyone,am looking for some advice on fishing in turkey,
am going on holiday to hisaronu and would love to do some fly fishing and sea fishing,
any advice greately appreciated,

You must be the same Big Tel on the Fly Forum, I'm on there too. If you go to the 'Forums' at the top left of this page and scroll down you will come to a large section on fishing in Turkey. There are lots of different opinions on licences, some say 150lira for visitors, some say nothing. I am in the Side area where the locals fish in the sea and the Manavgat river and nearby lakes. They fish for food and anything they catch is killed. Hope you find what you are looking for.

hi if your going to the hisaronu near fethiye and just for a holiday, i would forget about fly fihing, your best bet to catch fish of any size would be to get on one of daily boat trips from olu deniz, they will let you trawl a lure from the stern, catching mainly bonito and dorado at the moment, turkish names palamut and lambucca.

Can any one help me. I need to know where are "fish tackle shops" in Istanbul as need to my some equipment there.
