Pompey are my local team, iv'e followed them since i was a boy
would love to see them beat WBA today at Wembley.
My brothers and Nephews have gone to see it and i would have

Re: Good Luck Pompey
Well for all you footie fans i hope you never watched this game WBA were very good and walked all over Portsmouth, but one lucky goal by Pompey gave them a win.
Probably the worst match by Portsmouth iv'e ever seen, absolute CRAP.
Well done WBA you deserved to win.

Re: Good Luck Pompey
andy
we were robbed after the performance in the 1st half but that goal gave and made all the difference pompey got there confidence back or was it the half time kick up the arse off redknap. a little humiliating as it was down to kanu ,after he played for wba
only hope that they can push on now and get promotion there is more to gain financially but i did rather fancy a few shopping trips around europe i have to be honest.
never mind eh.... i wont say theres always next time i dont think we will see it in our lifetime, they were lucky with every draw this run

Re: Good Luck Pompey
Well after all the other Prem. teams were knocked out, it's not surprising Pompey were nervous LOL
WBA did play well but did not threaten James in Pompey's goal much. Pompey have ridden their luck recently in many games and rely on a little bit of class coming thru to save them....hence the result..yet again. I am also a Pompey Blue thru and thru and watch every match they play. Credit to WBA but also Play up Pompey, now go and win it.....at last.

Re: Good Luck Pompey
Full Time Pompey 1 Cardiff 0. Kanu scored in the first half.
Thanks Bren, was certainly a great result for the south coast club
and they played a little better than in the match against WBA.

Re: Good Luck Pompey
My son went up to Wembley on-spec and managed to grab a ticket for fifty quid, I wished i had gone up there with him. Tomorrow we are going down to Southsea for mandatory open-top bus tour by the team.
After 79 years of waiting the celebration/hangover will be worth it.

Re: Good Luck Pompey
Watched it today and I could not honestly say that it was much of a match, but the cup will still have the winners endorsed on it and whatever the result I was always satisfied that both sets of supporters would be dignified and a good example of how real football fans should be, not like the morons who purported to be football supporters of Rangers in their recent activities in Manchester - I exclude the vast majority of good ones !

A very bitty match indeed. I watched local club Stockport win their way to Wembley afterwards too. It wasn't great, but nice too see them do well.
