Iíve been stopped by the police a couple of times for minor infractions and always wound up in the nearest cafť with them for coffee & banter. When we drive past a parked police vehicle they usually smile and gesture asking if we will join them for a drink and our (1.5 kg) bonsai poodle is now an honorary member of the local police force!

ÖÖ..

It seems that those who say that they know ĎFAí about Ukraine are always the ones to post disparagement and childish insult.
I didn't mention Latvia or Lithuania either but I was there !

I can understand negative feelings arising from unjustified disparaging comments BUT are you suggesting that Ukraine is not associated with endemic corruption ?

As regards your positive comments about hospitality being received from police etc - are you seriously suggesting that corruption is not associated with them also?

I have received excellent hospitality from people in many countries - but corruption goes hand in hand with every day living in many of the countries referred to.

Sorry - but you do protest too much.

And you didnít mention Siberia, Hong Kong or Laos either so I assume that you were there as well

And I also assume you probably spent 2 or 3 days in Ukraine, itís a big place so you were mostly driving and saw little of our country. If you saw evidence of high corruption in such a short time then you must have very high level government contacts indeed and Iím VERY impressed!

Personally I have never seen street level corruption in my 5+ years here but in the expertise gained in your 3 days here you claim that corruption is everywhere.

The word ultracrepidarian comes to mind.

It only takes a moment to check a memberís posts Ė it takes a lot longer to make 15 (off topic) posts every day.

Itís not a hobby you need, itís a life.

Dear Sir, - You are correct in saying that I did not mention Siberia or Laos or Hong Kong. But you are very wrong in your assumptions- I have not been there. As you should know, Siberia or the other countries mentioned by you is not on the route from Turkey to Tallinn lol . You do come across as a man who likes his own way and also ,may I say, the sound of his own voice. No or little tolerance of other people's opinions is not good for a debate forum. And maybe the big difference between us is that I have a lower tolerance and acceptance of corruption than you do?
As for your reference to post statistics, I really don't know what relevance that has to anything other than maybe representing the possibility of one being turned off by what is posted on here sometimes or the manner in which views are posted.

Re: Ukraine Corruption in football

Little of which addresses my post #23Ö

ďAnd I also assume you probably spent 2 or 3 days in Ukraine, itís a big place so you were mostly driving and saw little of our country. If you saw evidence of high corruption in such a short time then you must have very high level government contacts indeed and Iím VERY impressed!

BTW it would make your posts more easily to follow & reply on if you would check the quote function before posting.
