I sometimes have a problemn on looking at the first post that I click on, it takes ages to come up, after that all is OK. The thing that gets to me is at 07.00 am UK time 08.00 am Spain time you can be reading the posts when all of a sudden you are shut out by the server telling you it is doing a back up. Why cannot the back up be done at between 03.00 04.00 am when most are asleep, across Europe at least. It puts you off your stride in a morning, routine is get up breakfast, computer on, check TFL to see whats happening, then online newspapers.

I agree it does seem to have been very slow this past couple of days. I thought it might be my broadband package which has just been changed. By the way the post quick reply seems to be a contradiction in terms!

I have reported this problem to the hosting company, they are running some backup jobs on the server, which is causing slower response, but should get back to normal very soon.
