Four Seasons Side

We are staying at Four Seasons Side later this month. This is our first visit to Turkey and any information on the following would be most helpful. What's the Four Seasons like and how far out of side is it? Are there places to eat within walking distance? How easy is it to get around without a car? Can you use the hotel pools? Thanks in advance.

Re: Four Seasons Side

four seasons are situated outside side and kumkoy but there is a curtosey bus that will take you into either town where you will find an abundance of bars and restaurants. Side restaurants tend to be a bit more expensive as they are around the ruins and at the harbour so therefore they are catering for all the tourists were as the surronding area's restaurants tend to be frequented by the locals and holidaying home owners. These bar/restaurants have some great food and are more reasonably priced. As for Four seasons itself it has a restaurant and pool bar serving good food daily. There is also a restaurant just outside the gates called the windmill doing good local food but does'nt serve alcohol.Ask any body at the pool bar for directions and reccomendations and they will be more than happy to help. Some restaurants do free pickup and drop off services again any one at four seasons will help .There is a local market every wed. just behind windmill restaurant selling fresh fruit and veg. the courtesy bus brings you to Migros (tesco's)every day barr sun. no bus on sunday's and brings you back where you can get all you essentials for your holiday but you can buy a large btle of water 19ltrs for around 6lira at the pool bar. They also have some theme nights BBQ night with local belly dancers and karaoke.Four seasons is a great place for a relaxed holiday but for nitelife you need to go out Kumkoy or Side. The last courtesy bus leaves the complex at 9 oclock so you will have to get a taxi home, the taxi's can be expensive so make sure he has the metre on! Hope you have a great holiday .

Need to be clear. Are you staying at the Four Seasons hotel - which is down in Side, or are you staying at the Four Seasons apartments in Ilica, near Side ? These are completely separate and unrelated.

Any info on nice restaurants, day trips, best beaches would be welcome. Also do you know if you can visit any hotels with water slides for the day. Thanks

Re: Four Seasons Side

Best day trip is the white water rafting - any local tour operator will do it for you for 20 Euros.

There are 2 x beaches in Side ... East Beach which is a lot quieter than the other - West Beach which has most of the major 5 star hotels on it and a beautiful promenade all the way along the coastal path into Old Town Side ...

One of the nicest restaurants in Side is Connys - and they do free pick up service to any hotel or apartment in the area - all twinkly with lovely olde world music too - we go there for special occasions.

Re: Four Seasons Side

there is a free pick upand return services which takes you to the beach daily .I'm not sure of the times but there will be a sign at the security hut at the complex entrance This beach is about 10mins drive away and although I have'nt been to fizz beach in a few yrs I remember it being really pleasant although a little quiet for me. I prefer west beach where you can take a walk along the promenade into Side. This is a great walk only inhanced bying stopping off every so often to have a nice cold effes! when will you be in Four seasons as we should be there some time at the end of the month?
