'invoice, bill, note'

It is an official business invoice which shows that a business provider has shown the money paid to him on his accounts. It is more official than a receipt.

Re: Fatura

Murdo İ wonder if this came up because İ used the expression in a post yesterday?? yep as philco and Karyn have said its an İnvoice same as the british Vat reciepts and we need them as they are the only ones the taxmen accept out here. Whilst we are on reciepts when all you brits go to migros, tansas etc,etc DONT throw your reciepts away find one of your local Turkish neighbours and give them the reciepts. the old age pensioners here can send them in once a year and get a little tax back from them!!

Re: Fatura

thanks for that bit of info Bryn. I could never understand why, when my retired Turkish friend took me shopping in Migros she always put my receipt in her bag. Now I can give her a pile of them every time I see her.
