Pressurised Solar System

After a failed attempt to find a way of getting an electric high pressure shower system, I have been advised to go for a pressurised hot water system.

Involving one replaced tank on the solar system, the hot water for the whole house will now be pressurised to 3 Bar (equivalent to the mains cold pressure), costing around 600TL it seems better value and less trouble than a pumped system.

Has anyone had experience of this type of system?

Re: Pressurised Solar System

Is this the ordinary solar or a pressurised system?

Re: Pressurised Solar System

We have a pressurised system, and we do have powerful enough showers guests have commented that they thought we had some sort of powered shower fitted but it is all mains pressure.

As said before if the water is cut off you haven't got anything though.

As an aside a friend has just changed over from the two tank system to a pressurised one as his old system was getting clogged up (when they took the old tank off a load of "gunk" came out of it), and he had little pressure for his showers because of it. His house is roughly the same age as mine and he is now having lovely showers.

Swapping his tank over was about 640tl I think.
