Re: Didim Health Services

I'm glad to hear that you have found the treatment that you need. About three years ago I had a similar complaint which was successfully treated here at our local private hospital.

Personally I have nothing but praise for the various treatments I have received here in Turkey over the last 10 years. I often wonder if half of what I have had here would have arrived in time if I was still living in the UK or if I would be still living, in the UK.

Anyway all good-well nearly ! Localised thrombo phlebitis- but no clot. Was prescribed a.bucketful of medications . Anti inflammatory, anti biotics, anti tachycardia- was previously on none. Got to go back in 10 days.

The whole experience opened my eyes up . Firstly, re recent negative comparisons between UK and Turkish health services- I certainly wouldn't have to travel any such distance in Glasgow for a referral. Having said that- the service I got from the treating doctor was absolutely first class
I should think there are areas in England where a lengthy journey to a hospital with the right scanning equipment would be necessary . I have also had this condition, and the doctor who performed the examination spoke no English at all, and I understood that he thought the equipment was old fashioned ... so glad it was nothing more serious for you ...
I was not satisfied with my examination of the NHS and believe to this day that they missed a venous clot.
