Floor cleaning

I just bought one of those Shark s2091 floor steam cleaners (yes a bit old but hardly used and a bargain at Ģ10.00) but wonder if it will be worthwhile taking it over to Turkey and if it will be any good with cleaning the "imitation marble" tile floor. Also if it would be ok to also put any king of floor cleaning liquid into the tank. Also does anyone know where in Didim I can get any replacement pocket cleaning cloths. thanks

Re: Floor cleaning

You normally don't use any cleaning liquid with a steam cleaner.......the steam does the job.

Re: Floor cleaning

I put bleach in mine. Also, you donīt need to hunt down the special cloths, just use an old towel cut to size, wrapped around the head and tied into place.

I understand and appreciate the comments, but why then do VAX sell a solution for their steam cleaner?

Because they can make money from it. Perhaps is adds a 'fresh scent' to the tiles.

Re: Floor cleaning

If you want a wonderful shine to finish your tile floor try adding some fabric conditioner to the rinse clean.

Yes that's what the sales blurb tends to promote 'a lemon citrus fragrance' so just sales hype.

So also time to recycle the old Terrie-towling nappies and get the singer out, not forgetting to oil the foot-pedal first.
