Re: mobile phone

I was with 3 But i didn't like it . It didn't work in Turkey for a quick text to hubby And their Dongles aren't much good either , I'm with Orange Pay as you go Also Vodaphone for free 1 hour calls , Text with orange are cheap , But i suppose it depends on how much you use the phone ....Diane

Re: mobile phone

I've recently upgraded to a NOKIA 5230, on the Orange Network. I am one of the customers who when they brought out the Broadband and Mobile deal I went for it, (they don't do that offer now), but I have an excellent contract with them. I pay 25 a month for unlimited Broadband, free calls to any mobile network and landlines and 1500 texts each month. I found Orange very expensive whilst in Turkey, therefore I have a Turkcell phone. I also have an international SIM (cost me 1), and I pay 18 pence per min from my mobile to Turkey and 15 pence per minute for texting, but only from the UK. I love the Nokia 5230, very easy to use, and the camera is very good too. Hope this helps.

I am sorry I should have said that I have a Turkcell Samsung and the rest of the family are now with 3G as we really have bad reception were we live, the sales pitch is sayng that this phone can be used anywere in Europe including Turkey but I can't see this part for myself but I thank-you all for ur posts as I am a mobile dummy just want cheap and cheerful.

Re: mobile phone

Hi Linda

I have an old Nokia which I unlocked and use a sims2go sim card (20p minute to call the UK - free incoming and its a UK number to available to all my family and friends as part of their inclusive minutes). This sim just chooses the strongest network wherever you are and I allways get a signal.
Best of all the sim does not expire over winter if we are not using the phone

I'd hate you to lose the power of speech - imagine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
