Turkish Time & Computer Clock

Am I correct in assuming I have to disable my automatic clock-checking from this weekend? My computer is set to regularly check the time and keep the computer clock display accurate. With Turkey not going for the time change I expect the computers will not know that and will constantly be resetting to daylight saving time.

Re: Turkish Time & Computer Clock

Not sure but when I go to...
Control panel / date and Time /
You can uncheck "auto adjust clock for daylight saving time"
Then try a manual adjust to the time you want.

this will be down to Microsoft to update their time update settings although as it's not classed as security updates so with general updates for XP NOW DISCONTINUED who knows how they will do it.

Re: Turkish Time & Computer Clock

Why don't you wait until the big day, see if it adjusts or not, then if it does, manually set it and turn off auto, if it doesn't then leave as is (unless your alarm clock is your computer).

Just a thought.

Well, I admit that would be the easiest option, but then if I take this route I will have nothing to get anxious about, and my life is simple enough as it is without making it even simpler.

When I count up the items that may be effected, including radios, computers, phones etc., that all automatically adjust on Sunday, I should perhaps set the morning aside to make the changes.
