Re: Android boxes

Could I firstly let it be known that you are advising somebody who knows nothing about these boxes.
Please treat me as an idiot and you won't go far wrong.
I have a villa which we live in part of the year and it is rented out during the summer months.
Renters actually want to watch the tele and they want UK programmes.
I once had digiturk, nothing to watch. I have a free view box, nothing of note to watch.
When we are there I stream stuff using my lap top and HDMI to the tele.
The question. Should I purchase an Android box and which one? How easy are they to use?
I don't want renters unable to use it and screwing it up because that would be more hassle I would need to deal with from the UK.
When giving advice please remember the opening sentences!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Android boxes

We have a MAG 254 box brought from the UK cost us 100 plus 100 per year and we can get all UK Channels, Sky Sports, Movies etc.

Don't ask me what a MAG254 Box is ie an Android box? as we are not very technical but someone on here might be able to advise?

Re: Android boxes

There are so many ways to get TV over the internet nowadays... Here in Turkey, well at least where I live...It has it's challenges...Internet bandwidth has always been a problem for me..Although I am informed we are to get upgraded soon....Was told that 2 yrs ago..

After years of torment...I setup my own IPTV service....We carry everything anyone could want...Sports,Movies,UK Live,USA live,Canada Live, Australia Live.. And endless VOD.... Notablily we carry much of this content In SD, in order to cater for us bandwidth strangled....

The best device is quite a complex question....There are devices that output fantastic, record and do everything but cook your breakfast...But require a reasonable amount of expertise to setup and maintain...In my experience simple turn on and operate, if only to keep the Mrs and Kids happy is the way to go...

The Formular z7+ is great little Android Box...Has MyTVonline as a native app...and is very easy to setup...Many of my clients use this box, and love the ease of use..
