5 g

Everyone talks about it, I'm still trying to understand 1, 2, 3, 4 Gs.
Heard a comment the other day saying that this new 5G would be the equivalence of sending a rocket to the moon..........I don't understand rockets either.
So what is it?

Re: 5 g

I would avoid the latest 'fad' pay through the nose for not much better. We have a 4.5G dongle in Turkey, (used only when TTlekom let us down). I am in the UK at the mo, using a 4G mifi (EE and brilliant compared to BT Hot spot which failed so spectacularly last year). The 4G in the UK seems faster than the 4.5G in Turkey, but can you really compare? There I am away from town and up in the mountains. In the UK I am in the suburbs of a large town. I would first check whether 5G is available in your area. Some of the providers eg EE have a check page on their websites, where you can check the availability for your postcode. I hope that this helps a bit.

Re: 5 g

There is a lot of talk about the 5G saying it gives off a lot of radiation .I think some part of cumbria has it now as trail run ,and the comments were something like they will all be getting radiation poisoning

Re: 5 g

If they live in Cumbria they have been getting radiation ever since Calder Hall/Windscale/Sellafield (WTF is it called this week? Change the name every time there is a major leak) opened.

I'm still alive through all the leaks.

Re: 5 g

A proper Cumbrian can warm a pie just by cupping it in the hands, 30 seconds is enough, any longer and it’s a lip burner !

Re: 5 g

One of our bike clubs has a camping weekend there every year in the grounds of their social club . There are lots of jolly glow tube and fluorescent spray jokes every year .
