Help! Windows blue screen

I have a Surface Go with Windows 10, bought in UK and set up last August.
Yesterday I did a system restore as an app was playing up, and the computer didn't come out of it.
I get a blue screen with error code 0xc00021a and various options to try and repair.
However, I've tried all the options - repair, safe mode startup, command prompt, etc. but after putting in the bitlocker key it asks for a password for the account (presumably admin password). As far as I know, I've never had a password, only a pin for logging in to windows.
Tried all the options and can never get past this.
I've downloaded installation media onto a usb in order to do a clean install, but before I go down that road, has anyone got any ideas?

Fingers crossed!

Re: Help! Windows blue screen

Thanks, Steve, but I can't get to command prompt or repair or reset or any other option without entering the password it's asking for.

However, I have just followed a suggestion and held down the power key and the volume up key for 15 seconds.
And, hey presto!, I have a screen that is titled Surface UEFI.

But I don't know what to do with it other than to change the boot order and boot from the usb I've created for re-install.

Fortunately, all my files are on a separate drive, so, although I'll have to re-install all my apps, at least I haven't lost my files!

Phew!
