Can you help with milk please? My husband drinks whole milk in the UK in his tea but he cannot get anything he likes in Turkey and drinks coffee when he is there. I have tried most of them but I think they are all UHT and that may be the problem. Is it at all possible to buy "fresh" milk or does it go off so quick that it is just not worth producing?
Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.
That's the one I use when we're over Teresa it's ok. I'm always looking for semi skimmed though as my daughter takes no tea or cornflakes etc the whole time we're there as I can't find it for her.
Thanks for that Merv I recognise the pack. I have seen semi skimmed Anne 50% Yag (fat) on the pack I use skimmed 0% and I have been ok. It is only Mick who causes the problem so hopefully we will sort him out as well.
Just for information, PINAR are the only company that I know of who sell full fat single cream (Kaymak). The litre cartons I have only been able to order direct from PINAR as the supermarkets seem to only stock the silly 200ml cartons.
Can anyone tell us which is the best butter/spread to buy that spreads from the fridge rather than chiseling bits off it! When we were out last month we tried various brands but they were all bland tasting and insipid looking - we coped though!
PS Any answers will save me listening to Pete moaning about his toast in the morning!
Nicki, try this one, Sana, I find that this is the best one yet, as you say the others are rather insipid looking and a little tastless. As for the butter, i find many are the same except for the village butters from the market. however they too can be tastless as tend not to add salt.
Glad you agreed with me, thought I was just being fussy! It must be the lack of salt that does it! Thanks for the advice and the piccie we will definately try Sana when we are back out in a weeks time.
