Re: what did you have tonight

Casa Ciro, Italian restaurant on the front, just past the pier very near the Dome. Never had a bad dinner there and the prices are very reasonable. Where are you staying Steve ? We now have a Premier Inn and they are always good and very clean and it's on the sea front with underground safe parking. Last night, lamb chops with saute potatoes, leeks cooked slowly in butter, sprouts and courgettes. What's saca enoch ? Good luck with the haggis Steve !!

Saca is a concentrated Pepper or Tomato past but if you get from the village it so thick ,most of the meals in turkey are built around saca. The turkish use it all the time they use less ingredients into there recipes . You can get hot pepper normal .and tomato and it keeps out of the fridge no problem .

Re: what did you have tonight

Nothing wrong with a good old roast chicken enoch - we're having one tonight ! Went to visit son and took him to lunch at a very nice Thai restaurant on the river Thames in Kingston. Very good. Came home and made some tuna mayonnaise and cucumber sandwiches. Excellent !

Re: what did you have tonight

Kingston has changed so much Hils , going upmarket quickly , from what was once a working class market town that served the Hawker aircraft factories by the thousand.

Busy day yesterday so a ready to cook and serve coq au vin from Waitrose , fresh cauliflower and green beans .

Totally inedible unfortunately , really tasted just as Jeyes fluid smells , chemical and unappetising , so in the bin . We stopped buying ready meals and now i remember why .

Might just be tempted by a carry out tonight .

Steve .

Re: what did you have tonight

Mmmm - I'm on my way round hijo ! Large M & S chicken (from dine in for a tenner) Large pan of roast vegetables. Sprouts and courgettes, finished off with butter and lemon juice. Shredded cabbage cooked slowly in butter BUT I forgot to turn the heat off and the cabbage became rather burnt and crispy. Rather like the so called crispy seaweed you get in Chinese restaurants, only better ! If i'd tried to do it, it probably wouldn't work ! Camden, it's you who's coming to Worthing next week, not Steve - that's old age for you !! How did the haggis go ?
